Predefined and custom item-scoped dimensions in the GA4 audience builder, segment builder, custom report builder, and the Data API

Google have expanded the functionalities of the audience builder, segment builder, custom reports builder, and the Data API in Google Analytics 4 by introducing additional dimensions. Now, users can measure and activate data using both predefined and custom item-scoped dimensions.

New item-scoped custom dimensions are now available in the audience builder, segment builder, custom reports builder, and the Data API.

In the segment builder, the following predefined item-scoped dimensions have been included:

Item ID
Item name
Item brand
Item variant
Item affiliation
Item category
Item category 2
Item category 3
Item category 4
Item category 5
Item promotion name
Item promotion creative slot
Item promotion creative name
Item list ID
Item list name
Item list position
Item location ID

Additionally, the audience builder now features the following predefined item-scoped dimensions:

Item list ID
Item list position
Item location ID
Item promotion creative name
Item promotion creative slot
Item promotion name
