New Recommendations for Consent Mode

Google Analytics introduces a new recommendation when consent mode has been incorporated into either gtag.js, Google Tag Manager, or the Google Analytics for Firebase SDK. However, it’s possible that the Google tags or Consent management platform may be obstructing cookieless pings.

This new recommendation informs you that by removing the block on cookieless pings, the majority of reporting features in Google Analytics 4 will leverage behavioral modeling, provided the model quality permits, to bridge data gaps. This is achieved by employing machine learning to emulate the behavior of users who decline analytics cookies based on the actions of similar users who accept analytics cookies.
