Configuration Required for Custom Events

For most properties, a config command or the Google tag must now be installed on the webpage before custom events can be sent. This update resolves issues where custom events were previously sent without tag configuration, which led to attribution values being displayed as (not set) in reports. By enforcing this requirement, reporting accuracy is greatly improved.
