Key Event Rate Metrics in User Acquisition and Traffic Acquisition

The default User acquisition and Traffic acquisition reports have been updated to feature the User key event rate and Session key event rate metrics. For those who have integrated these reports into their report navigation, the key event rate metrics will now appear automatically.

Custom Event Data Import

Updates to Attribution Models in GA4

Google Analytics 4 (GA4) is set to enhance its attribution models over the next two weeks to improve the accuracy of conversion credit for paid search campaigns.

Currently, conversions that should be credited to paid search are sometimes incorrectly attributed to organic search, especially in single-page applications. This misattribution occurs when the ‘gclid’ parameter, which identifies the paid search click, does not persist across page views.

This update will refine how GA4 attributes conversions, ensuring campaign information is accurately captured on the first event of each page. If a user leaves the site and returns through a different channel, the attribution will be updated accordingly.

This change may result in an increase in conversions attributed to paid search, potentially impacting Ads campaign spending. It is strongly recommended to review and adjust budget caps as needed before this update takes effect.

Last 5 Minutes in Realtime

The Realtime report in Google Analytics 4 now provides a more detailed snapshot of user behaviour. It features a “Users in the Last 5 Minutes” section with an updated bar graph that shows a minute-by-minute breakdown of user activity on your website or app.

By integrating subproperties, your marketing teams can connect and share specific data with a selected Floodlight setup. Send reports instantly via email

As an administrator, you now have the capability to send both standard and custom reports by email instantly. This feature allows team members to receive immediate analytics updates. The emailed report contains data for the specified date range and includes any filters or comparisons applied at the time of sending.
