Enhancement in User Data Import for Google Analytics 4 Audiences

Google has improved the functionality of user data import in Google Analytics 4 audiences. Data imported via user data import, linked by either user ID or client ID, is now readily available as criteria for user qualification in existing GA4 audiences, without requiring additional user interaction. This means that any users imported into Analytics who meet the criteria for an existing GA4 audience are automatically added.

For example, suppose a user creates a “Gold” loyalty tier audience based on a user-scoped custom dimension indicating the user’s loyalty tier. When loyalty tier data is uploaded via user data import, users classified as “Gold” tier are automatically integrated into the GA4 audience. There is no need to wait for their activity on the website or app before qualifying.

Salesforce Data Import Integration

Google has integrated Salesforce as a data source for data imports. Users can now import data from Salesforce directly into Google Analytics as offline event data. They will be able to schedule daily or hourly imports and select specific Salesforce milestones and attributes for import. Salesforce milestones will be tracked as GA4 events, with the option of importing existing Salesforce attributes as GA4 dimensions.

Display and Video 360 (DV360) Linking Recommendation

If an unlinked Display & Video 360 advertiser is identified, you may be prompted to connect your DV360 advertiser to Google Analytics. This linkage allows you to export Analytics audiences and conversions to DV360, giving you access to campaign cost and user engagement data in Analytics for more effective campaign assessment.
