Facebook Metrics

Post engagement

Definition: Post engagement measures the activity on a Facebook post, adding the total number of actions users took, such as likes or shares.

How it’s used: Post engagement can be an indication of ads resonating with target audiences as when people see ads that are relevant to them, they’re more likely to engage with those ads. Post engagement then helps ads perform better.

Post engagement enables advertisers to measure these interactions and compare them to other ad or campaign engagement.

Post engagement includes all interactions people take while ads are running. These can include actions such as reactions, comments, sharing a post, claiming an offer, clicking on a link or viewing a photo or video.
