About National Crime Check
Founded in 2010, National Crime Check is the largest provider of online police checks in Australia. In 2010, it was impossible to process police checks online. Customers used traditional paper applications at the police station, which took months to process.
We started working with National Crime Check at its inception and have grown with the company ever since.
The Challenge
At NCC’s inception the immediate challenge was to create brand awareness for a new service that was easier and quicker than any other solution on the market. The long term goal was to transition all traditional police check applications online.
To do this, we built a long term paid digital and SEO strategy that continuously drove growth and increased market share. NCC has grown to become the industry leader in criminal checks.

Our solution
We executed a detailed assessment of market conditions, adwords auctions, and extensive keyword research. We then tested multiple ad copy messages to improve conversion rates and better understand user behaviour. Like any start up we were cautious about wasted spend and made sure we implemented robust risk management strategies.
As well as paid search we conducted an enterprise level SEO audit to ensure the site was Google friendly, assessing all technical frameworks and developing a content strategy that drove quality organic traffic to the website.
We have worked with NCC for 8 years now, continuing campaign optimisation to generate incremental traffic and revenue. As you can see below, we’ve created steady growth over those years.
Results
National Crime Check is now a multi million dollar business providing in excess of 15000 police checks a month. The company has been featured in multiple news outlets like AFR, Smart Company, The Advertiser, etc.
